I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Rosemont College. I have worked in different levels of care, including residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings for substance use, mental health, and trauma criteria. I am certified in TREM, an evidence-based, facilitated group approach to healing from the effects of trauma. It combines elements of social skills training, psychoeducational and psychodynamic techniques.
As a clinician, I value collaboration, transparency, and honesty in the therapeutic relationship. I believe that these qualities allow treatment to be both challenging and supportive, nurturing and empowering. As a provider I believe in the importance of utilizing evidence-based interventions specific to presenting difficulties and disorders. While treatment approaches are determined by the needs of the individual, I commonly employ dialectical behavioral, cognitive behavioral, radically open and acceptance-based techniques.
Throughout my years of experience, I have learned the need for help comes in all shapes and forms. I specialize in helping individuals manage the difficulties and challenges life presents us. I offer the tools to recognize distorted thought patterns, learn appropriate coping skills, let go of self-doubt and improve your overall feelings of self-worth. I am solution-focused and ready to help you make desired changes.
Katlyn accepts self-pay clients at this time.
